The BYD Tang is a crossover SUV manufactured by BYD Auto, available as an all-electric vehicle, a plug-in hybrid or a conventional ICE vehicle. The vehicle is the second model of BYD’s “Dynasty” series passenger vehicles, and gets its name from the Tang dynasty, the most prosperous of all the great Chinese dynasties.

BYD Tang DM-i is available in two versions, a 6-seater, and a 7-seater model. The crossover’s dimensions are 4870/1950/725 mm, with a 2820 mm wheelbase.
BYD offers three choices of the Tang DM-p, all with an electric-only range of 215 kilometers, priced at RMB 289,800 ($42,300), 309,800 and 329,800 respectively after subsidies.
The Tang DM-p has a four-wheel drive system consisting of a 1.5T engine and an EHS160 hybrid system with a maximum power of 452 kW (606hp) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds.
