China strives for world hegemony in the political, military and economic fields. Every euro that goes to that country helps. So if you value your freedom, make sure that as little money as possible goes to China. So buy/lease as few Chinese products as possible. So no Chinese cars or cars that are largely Chinese.
Unfortunately, there are people who do not see the threat and / or who think that it will not go so fast. Or there are people who are not prepared to pay a little more for a non-Chinese product or to settle for a little less.
I fear that they are playing with fire and will regret it once again.
Perhaps equally frightening is how many shares of European brands are already owned by China. For example, 20% of Daimler-Benz is already owned by China: 10% Li Shufu (yes Volvo’s), and 10% BAIC – and that is a state-owned company!
I don’t know about the other brands, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there are also significant parts of the ownership in China.
